I'm a Nicktoons Fan. Both Classic and Modern. One of my absolute favorite Nicktoons is The Legend of Korra. I don't know, the atmosphere, these likeable characters. It's just lovely. Harvey Beaks and TMNT are also awesome shows.
Sanjay & Craig and Pig Goat Banana Cricket were okay. And Breadwinners was a giant waste of my time. But it did have some creative ideas I will admit.
Anyways, back to Korra. A sequel is very hard to do. Espeacially if you're making a sequel to Avatar-The Last Airbender. A cartoon wich is considered to be the Citizen Kane of animation.
So I was really impressed that Korra ended up being good. Not as good as Avatar, but still good.
That's one of the things I absolutly LOVE about Nick these days! They know how to reboot or continue a series correctly! Unlike Cartoon Network or the "Disney" Channel.
Seriously, these new flash Mickey Mouse shorts are awful!
The last two seasons got aired online, heres the reason why: www.cinemablend.com/television…
However, there's something I need to tell you guys: Viacom, Nick's parent company, is in a financial crisis ever since 2014.
Don't believe me? Go read Washington Post!
With infomation like that in mind, it's clear that Nickelodeon would play save.
The Legend of Korra was probally very expensive. And also not very popular, if I remember correctly. So it would make sense that they wouldn't continue it.
Turns out I was wrong! Nickelodeon does indeed continue the show! Just not in animated form, but in form of a comic book that's actually written by the shows creator!
Since when? Since last year!
That's why I love Nickelodeon, you never know what to expect from them!
Let's only hope that Viacom can recover... even though I dislike them as much as the next guy...
